Copely Developments is pleased to announce two new key management appointments, as well as some strategic restructuring initiatives to its Sales team, which will help to drive the business forward for future growth while delivering improved customer service.
We are delighted to welcome Steve Walton to Copely, who joined the company this week in the newly created role of Operations Director. Steve is certainly no stranger to the hose industry – a business he has been involved in for the last 15 years fulfilling a variety of manufacturing and operational roles. Furthermore, he is certainly a familiar face at Copely having previously worked for the company between 2002 and 2007 (prior to COBA International acquiring the business) when he was then Works Director.
Steve, with his wealth of knowledge and experience in the hose industry, now takes on overall responsibility for the management of all sales, operational and manufacturing functions at Copely Developments.
“I am delighted to be back at Copely and to be part of the team that takes it forward under the ownership of COBA International. I’m impressed with the investment that has already been made in new equipment and systems so with the right infrastructure now in place, it is our aim to deliver the best service and best quality products in the market place.”
Meanwhile, Copely’s former Operations Manager, Richard Kenyon, enjoys promotion to a new role in Engineering within COBA Plastics at Fleckney, having been instrumental in driving some positive changes through our business during the last 18 months.
Another new face to Copely, but not new to the industry, is Paul Tomlin who we welcome to the company in the newly created role of Sales Manager, Hose and Tubing Products. Paul will be working alongside the familiar face of James Copely who will now focus on sales of technical products in the capacity of Sales Manager, Technical Products.
Paul, who officially joined us on Monday 26th September, brings with him extensive sales experience in tubing, hosing and extrusions following his 27 years’ employment with ARCO; his most recent post as many will know, being that of Sales Manager.
“It’s like being with old friends,” says Paul who has for many years been a customer of both Copely Developments and COBA. “Copely traditionally has been a household name in the hose industry and I am proud to be part of its future so that it can relive those ‘glory days’. I am really motivated and looking forward to applying my experience to help take the business to a whole new level.”
Both James Copely and Paul Tomlin will report to the Operations Director, Steve Walton.
