Copely Developments Ltd. win British Midland Airways Export Award

Out of 7 regional finalists, Copely Developments emerged as overall winner of this prestigious award, based on Export success over the last 2 years. Sir Michael Bishop said at the presentation ceremony: "We have been very impressed with both the number and standard of entries in the first year of the initiative. The winners act as an example of best practice for similar companies planning to export and show that any market and regulatory obstacles can, through proven experience, be overcome." In addition to complimentary Business Class flights throughout Europe during 1997, a Copely Developments company profile was published in the April edition of British Midland 'Voyager' in-flight magazine.

The British Midland Airways National Export Award was run in conjunction with the DTI Business in Europe, the Sunday Times and The Institute of Export.

TÜV Approval for Copely

Following extensive testing at the TÜV Institute for plastics laboratories in Munich, Germany, Copely reinforced hoses exceeded the test requirements in all respects to receive the prestigious approval on product. This approval was followed by an intensive assessment of our Leicester manufacturing plant which also proved successful. TÜV, unlike BS EN ISO 9002 assessment, are more focused on the manufactured product and test against international standards and also venfy manufacturers technical claims. Whilst TÜV are a German based organization testing everything from motor cars to washing machines, they have several thousand engineers worldwide and are highly respected by industry. Our certification allows us to use the TÜV logo on our products as a symbol of quality.
