Andy

on July 1st 1998 as Operations Manager,
joined the Board as Operations Director
with effect March 1st 1999. Andy is
well known in the plastics industry,
having previously held overall responsibility
for the manufacturing of a wide range

Manager |

|
| |
| Mr Robert Brooks,
Quality Control manager, has been
with the Company for eight years
and has extensive practical knowledge
of thermo-plastic extrusion in
both flexible and rigid materials,
having been connected with the
industry for many years. In fact,
he began in the industry with
the earlier family business, J
Dorrien Copely Plastics Ltd, operating
from a factory in East Leake near
Loughborough, Leics. He was promoted
from Chief inspector, a challenging
post that requires assertiveness
and a high degree of diplomacy
at all times. He now takes responsibility
for all QA matters, reporting
to Mr Andy Woods. Pictured, Robert
checks pressure testing equipment,
whilst Mrs Flo Smith, QA dept.

Excellence |

|
| |
| Fred Allinson,
Engineering Manager has been with
the Company for almost 20 years
(photo opposite). He is responsible
for all engineering matters which
includes design and manufacture
of tooling and extrusion ancillary
equipment. Fred has also manufactured
special machinery for sale to
our overseas licensees, such as
PVC recycling plant. Due to our
positive environmental policy
we have saved many hundreds of
tonnes of PVC from being at best
‘landfilled’ or at
worst burnt, both here and overseas!
Fred Allinson, below, examines
a ‘Braiding’ machine,
having been in service with an
overseas licensee for a number
of years and which is being serviced
and updated.
Outside business Fred is a
first class shot and can be
seen at most leading Clay Pigeon
shoots, having competed for
more than 14 years at both national
and international events including
the ‘Rolex’ Grand
Prix, and the ‘Perazzi’
Classic. He is meticulous in
the care of his guns and this
is reflected in the standard
he achieves in the engineering
of our tooling and ancillary
plant. |
